It didn't all go quite to plan but decathlon rarely does but after a below par 100m (10.78) and long jump ( 7.37) it ended with a strong 400m at 47.62  Day 1 was a bit shaky a solid 4116 points after 5 events Day 2 started well 110h PB then solid discus , pole vault & javelin despite a shoulder injury and book ended by a 1500m PB at 4.26 Just shy of the magic 8000 points but 4th in the biggest collegiate competition in the USA

Acting jointly with LSH we concluded a letting of a prestigious  grd floor suite to Porter Dodson LLP  https://www.porterdodson.co.uk/have taken a 10 yr lease of  suite of circa 2378 sq ft along with parking at 11-15 Dix's Field at £18.50 psf . Having won the SEC Conference in Florida in May  with another  UK lead points score of 7935  and although cramp in the final 1500m robbed him of the elusive 8k plus score his 10 conference  points ensured Arkansas won the prestigious conference overall too. Hot on its heels came NCAA Championships at the iconic Hayward Field Oregon Completing the decathlon during the second day of the Championships Jack finished in fourth place securing valuable points for Arkansas and getting All- American 1st Team honours Scoring 7,963 points and moving to No. 3 on the UA all-time list. He’s currently UK No1 & 7th on all time list. Jack finished off the two day event by placing third in the 1,500m with career best time of 4:26.79 for 766 points. The second day of the decathlon started off with a career best time for 110m hurdles posting a 14.27 for 940 points

Arkansas transfer Jack Turner led a 1-2-3-4 Hog finish in the heptathlon on the second day of the Razorback Invitational as he improved his career best to a score of 6,000 points at Randal Tyson Track Center. In addition to having the top heptathlon score by a British athlete this season, Turner is also the British leader in the long jump with his 25-6 (7.77) performance. Turner set the collegiate-leading mark and second-best score in the world for the 2024 season, just off the world-leading 6,032 set last weekend by Germany’s Tim Nowak. “I knew coming in with the training that we’ve had, now that I’m a Razorback, it’s unlike anything else I’ve experienced,” said Turner, who improved his previous best of 5,794 set in 2023 at the Conference USA Championships while competing at UTSA. “So, I was really ready to score big just through executing everything. “We went 1-2-3-4, and that just shows the group that I’ve become a part of and training here every day with those boys is everything I’ve asked for years now. Coach Geopfert has changed how I see this sport. Jack Turner has done it again 2023 Gold Medallist Decathlon Conference USA Outdoor Track & Field Championship Denton Texas 8011 points. 7th man in British History over the 8k barrier. championship & school record. Despite 32 deg heat, storms  & gusting winds his best 'Dec' so far with PBs in 100m 400m & Pole vault NCAA Champs next

Having decided to quit 'track & field' after too many injuries and set back my daughters for who the worst event in the hepthalon was always the 800m  decided that an ultra Marathon at crazy altitude in the Rocky Mountains was the way ahead! 5okms well over a mile high in searing heat including gaining 3500 ft during the race duly dispatched! Been a bit lazy updating our site on property front and my son's progress in athletics - He's back on form with an amazing series of 7m + jump including new PB of 7.79m putting him 4th in the UK ranking this year so far and 45th all time for UK - not bad going for a 21 yrs old decathlete recovering from an ankle injury
